Transitional Pastor

David Jackson

David Jackson's ultimate calling is to glorify God by enabling others to live out their God-given potential in a growing relationship with Jesus.

He and his wife, Joye, grew up in the deep South, where they fell in love and were married in New Orleans. Over the 40 years of their marriage, they have served churches and pastors through the North American Mission Board from California to Maine.

David was called to God’s ministry as a teenager and has served in pastoral ministry, evangelism, church planting, collegiate ministry, and, currently, church renewal. He has served as the transitional or interim pastor at twenty-two churches.

He received his Master of Divinity at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and his Doctor of Ministry from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He taught previously in seminary and at the college level. David also has several books published, including Falling in Love with Jesus (Again) last year.

David and Joye have three children: Jonathan and his wife Emily, who have a son, Isaac, with one on the way, and two daughters, Sarah and Rebekah.

David’s life verse: Psalm 72:72

“[David] Shepherded them with integrity of heart, and he led them with skillfulness of hands.”

David prays that this verse becomes the testimony of his life, all for God’s glory.
